Hi Mikey,

When I first started flying helis, which was not that long ago ( a year or so) I started with a coaxial heli as my beginner one. And for anyone staring out I would recommend same with the experience I have now. They are easy to learn to fly and if you are having more fun, you will enjoy it more. I would recommend to go with Blade CX2, but there are others coaxial helis out there. Going with a heli that has tail motor will be the best option. Coaxial’s are very easy to fly, and a great platform to build upon. Once you are ready you can move onto 400/450 size helis like T-Rex 450.

Good luck with it. :D

The larger the helicopter, the easier it is to control. However, large helicopters are more expensive, and replacement parts can be costly. That is why a mini rc helicopter is better for a beginner. Although the small size makes it slightly more unstable, the cheaper price and less complicated design makes it a good starter heli.
