A Web crawler is a computer program that browses the World Wide Web in a methodical, automated manner. Other terms for Web crawlers are ants, automatic indexers, bots, and worms[1] or Web spider, Web robot, or—especially in the FOAF community—Web scutter[2].

This process is called Web crawling or spidering. Many sites, in particular search engines, use spidering as a means of providing up-to-date data. Web crawlers are mainly used to create a copy of all the visited pages for later processing by a search engine that will index the downloaded pages to provide fast searches. Crawlers can also be used for automating maintenance tasks on a Web site, such as checking links or validating HTML code. Also, crawlers can be used to gather specific types of information from Web pages, such as harvesting e-mail addresses (usually for spam).

A Web crawler is one type of bot, or software agent. In general, it starts with a list of URLs to visit, called the seeds. As the crawler visits these URLs, it identifies all the hyperlinks in the page and adds them to the list of URLs to visit, called the crawl frontier. URLs from the frontier are recursively visited according to a set of policies.

I am looking to purchase a PS3 and a HDTV/LCD or a nice flat screen in the next few days. My budget is under $1000.00 for both items but I would like to try not to go over $900 or so. I need suggestions as to what is the cheapest place to buy a nice HDTV and a PS3. The size of the TV does not matter. Some stores around my area are: BestBuy, Target, and PC Richards. I am not sure exactly where to look. I know BestBuy is very expensive but I may consider ordering online but I would prefer If I can get it locally. I’m not looking to spend more than $500-$550 for the TV.

If you guys have any suggestions, please let me know.

I’m not exceptionally new at camping, in fact, I go a couple of times a year and have been for the past 4/5 years. However, I got rid of my tent and it’s been a while since I bought a new one.

What do you use to keep warm?
- I have a mummy sleeping bag for the nights.

What do you sleep on?
- I did have an air bed, but this requires pumping up three times a week. Would one of those rolly mats really suffice? Or should I look at a proper bed that stands 5/10cm above the ground?

What sort of tent do you have?
- I did have a 3 man tent (to myself) but this time round, I’ll go for another 3 man, btu one that maybe has a bit of a porch area too.

The rapid growth of the World-Wide Web poses unprecedented scaling challenges for general-purpose crawlers. Topic-specific web crawler is developed to collect relevant web pages of interested topics form the Internet. Based on the analyses of HITS algorithm, a new P-HITS algorithm is proposed for topic-specific web crawler in this paper. Probability is introduced to select the URLs to get more global optimality, and the metadata of hyperlinks is appended in this algorithm to predict the relevance of web pages better. Experimental results indicate that our algorithm has better performance.
